POST-OPERATIVE ADVICE FOR THE PATIENT WHO HAS HAD SEDATION
Following your treatment under sedation you will be discharged home under the care of your escort. You should rest at home and reduce your activity for the next 24 hours. You are likely to feel drowsy and forgetful for the rest of the day as the effect of the sedation takes time to wear off.
You MUST NOT drive or operate any machinery for 24 hours following sedation.
– You MUST NOT drink alcohol, return to work or make any important decisions for 24 hours after sedation.
– You should take any medicines you have been prescribed at the usual times.
