First visit

Will be as easy and pleasant as possible

We find that most patients are somewhat apprehensive concerning their upcoming surgical appointment. Nearly everyone, however, finds the experience much easier that they had imagined. We want you to know that our entire staff is committed to making your experience as easy and pleasant as possible. As with most events, some prior planning and preparation will help ensure that things go smoothly.

We would kindly ask that you arrive 5 -10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so we can register you as a patient of the clinic and complete the normal paperwork (insurance details, medical history forms etc.).

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • If you have been referred by your dentist he/she may have given you some documents to take with you including dental x-rays.
  • If you have any additional dental x-rays taken in the last few years, we would ask that you bring those along with you too. We may need to take additional x-rays as part of your initial consultation.
  • A list of all current medications.
  • Insurance details (e.g. VHI, Aviva, Laya Healthcare etc.)

At your first consultation there will be will be a thorough review and assessment of your medical history and dental problem(s). One or more radiographs (x-rays) may be required to better establish the exact nature of your dental problem. Dr Boyle will then explain the necessary treatment and costs with you and provide you with any information leaflets relevant to your particular situation. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have at any time.

In many cases treatment will be performed at the same visit or if this is not suitable an appointment will be arranged for you at a later date.

Cancellation policy.

Please try and give at least 48 hours notice prior to cancelling an appointment. This will allow us to offer the appointment to someone, who may be in pain and on our emergency waiting list. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
