Step 1:
Consultation appointment:
Examination and diagnosis
Oral examination, x-rays, models of your teeth and photographs.
A treatment plan will be devised for you outlining likely stages of treatment, estimated treatment time and costs.

Step 2:
Stage 1 Surgery
Implants are placed in jaw. Sutures are removed 7 to 10 days following surgery. A soft diet is recommended during the first 2 weeks. Implant is fully healed in 2 -3 months.

Step 3:
Stage 2 Surgery — Implants are uncovered. Abutments are placed. X-rays are taken.

Step 4:
Impression of the mouth is made for the final crown or bridge. 2 – 4 weeks later the crown/bridge or denture is completed and placed onto the implants. Final adjustments are made. X-rays are taken. Follow Up Care: Total Treatment time is usually 3 to 6 month intervals following placement of the final prosthesis. This will depend on each person’s individual case and complexity of treatment. The likely treatment time will be outlined at the consultation time. Regular and fastidious oral hygiene maintenance with your dental hygienist is the key to the long-term success of dental implants.
